WHAT TO DO TO BECOME A MEMBER?
Our volunteers are men, women, young and old, committed to the fight against poverty and the reduction of social inequalities by through local actions or programs across Quebec.
They all want to contribute to the establishment of a Quebec without poverty. They are committed to offering their services in a spirit of volunteerism and of solidarity in order to improve the well-being of people in poverty situation.
You are interested in giving a few hours of volunteering per week to help the most disadvantaged in our sector, you must call 450-349-1553 and leave a message there (this is a voicemail box). The receptionist will return your call within 24 hours and will ask you for your availability for a meeting with the President and \ or the Director of the Counter.
During this meeting, we will explain to you what is expected of you and you will need to complete a membership form, a code of ethics of the volunteer and an authorization to submit to the screening of volunteers by the Police Department.
After 6 months of probation, you will become an “auxiliary” member of the St-Vincent-de-Paul Conference of Saint-Luc. We are counting close of 150 members.
